Our Program:
An immersive program for new and experienced authors, the Leopardi Writing Conference in Udine offers workshops and craft talks in fiction and nonfiction. Attendees are also offered the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a NYC literary agent.
Whether in its founding village of Recanati,or its current location of Udine, the Leopardi Writing Conference anchors itself in small, inspiring towns that allow attendees to both be inspired by rich, artistic atmospheres, while also being offered a distraction-free solitary vibe. We invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to receive expert feedback on your writing project, and get to know your fellow writers, including the distinguished members of our faculty.
The core of the conference will consist of writing workshops, as well as lectures, readings, and panel discussions. There will be a free day to explore the city of Udine and the surrounding region of Friuli-Venezia Giuli.
Tuition is $1200* (airfare and lodging excluded); scholarship opportunities available.
*Since the conference welcomes writers at all stages of their writing projects, some attendees will find themselves not yet ready for that all-important agent search. Please note that, for this reason, a thirty-minute meeting, “pitch session” with the visiting NYC agent is not included in tuition. Upon acceptance to the conference, attendees will be queried about their interest in meeting with the agent; the fee for this additional aspect is $100.00.
